Joe Altus Anderson passed from this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-nine. He was born February 28, 1913, to O.C. and Mattie Allen Anderson in Courtney, Oklahoma. Mr. Anderson was a farmer and a member of the Irving Baptist Church.

Survivors include: three brothers - F.D. Anderson of Ryan, OK; Calvin Anderson and Bill Anderson, both of Orville, CA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, O.C. and Mattie Allen Anderson, one brother, and four sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson were at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 13, 2002, in the Ryan Chapel with Clarence Mize offiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
