Jimmy David Prater was born June 19, 1947 in Lawton, OK to Lester and Lois (Milligan) Prater. He passed from this life March 9, 2009 at the Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of 61. He was a self-employeed carpet installer. He was a member of the United States Bowling Association and he enjoyed fishing and
bowling.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Prater of the home and his mother Lois Prater of Marlow, OK; three sons- Jimmy Dale Prater and wife Diann of Marlow, OK, James Prater of Marlow, OK and Rodney Grimes of Duncan, OK; three daughters- Leslie Prater of Marlow, OK, Belenda and husband Tony Sanders of Velma, OK and Brenda and Jeff Burk of Marlow, OK; one sister- Peggy Buehne and husband Jerry of Marlow, OK; and several grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
He was preceded in death his father Lester Prater, and brother Tommy Prater.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1:00PM at the Cor Church at the corner of 9th and Apache in Marlow, OK with
officiating under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika, OK.
