Jimmy Don J.D. Jackson

Jimmy Don J.D. Jackson was born February 19, 1948, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Joe Jackson and Bernice Billings Jackson. He passed from this life Saturday, December 22, 2007, at his home in Elgin at the age of fifty-nine. He was a heavy equipment operator for Entact Environmental Services. He served his country in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. He and Judy Lynn Jackson were married August 7, 1981, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Survivors include: his wife, Judy, of the home in Elgin; his children - Mike Jackson and his wife Lana of Lawton, OK; Jimmy Jackson of Elgin, OK, Johnny Jackson of Elgin, OK, Joyce and her husband Doug Nill of Elgin, OK, Lynn and her husband Jimmy Trundel of Checotah, OK, and Jenny and her husband Steven Tate of Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren; six brothers - Wilburn Jackson, Harold Jackson and his wife Charlie Mae, Freddie Jackson, Bobby Jackson, Ronny Jackson and his wife Sherri, and Kenny Jackson, all of Lawton, OK; two sisters - Martha and her husband Gene Wilkerson of Lawton, OK, and Margie and her husband Jerry Younkin of Ursina, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bernice Jackson, his son Jamie Jackson, and his sister Virginia Ann Sissy Cole.

Graveside services for Mr. Jackson will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 28, 2007, at the Ft Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
