Jimmie Inez Smith passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2003, in the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of eighty-five. Inez was born to Charlie and Mamie Dunn Barnett on April 19, 1918, in Waurika, Oklahoma. She and Pete Smith were married on August 10, 1935, at Comanche, Oklahoma. To this union three children were born.

Inez was a member of the Ray of Hope Church. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, wife and sister. She will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include: one sone - Charles W. Smith of Duncan, OK; one niece; one nephew; one great-niece; one great-nephew; one great-great nephew; one sister - Dean Brown of Comanche, OK; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mamie Barnett, her husband Pete Smith, and two sons Ronnie and Bobby Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2003, at the Ray of Hope Church in Comanche with Pastor Mike McCord officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
