Jim E. "Painter" Lancaster was born September 24, 1926 in Crosby County, Texas to Stella Mae "Burton" and Roy King Lancaster. He passed from this life Monday, January 26, 2009 at Nocona General Hospital at the age of eighty-two. He and Clarice Thompson Burnett were married October 10,1975 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, and the Scottish Rites.
Survivors include his wife Clarice of the home in Ryan, his children - Mary Kane of Lawton, Oklahoma, Billy Lancaster, Rebecca Chavez of Nocona, Texas, and Barbara Martinez of Arlington, Texas, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and two brothers - Paul Lancaster of Ft. Worth, Texas and John Lancaster of Nixon, Missouri.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Graveside services will be Friday at 1:00PM at the Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma with Mark Kunkel officiating. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 10AM - 6PM at the Ryan Funeral Home.
