Jewel "Burris" Dennard
Jewel "Burris" Dennard, 90, passed from this life May 14, 2015 in Highlands, Texas. She was born January 19, 1925, in Sunset, Texas, to William Alfred and Rosa Myrtle "Golden" Burris.
She married T.H. "Choc" Dennard November 22, 1942 in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake and sew. She also loved being outside gardening and mowing. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a member of the Waurika Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Choc", two brothers, five sisters, and her son Larry Gene Dennard.
Survivors include her son T. H. Chuck Dennard, Jr. and wife Olivia, her daughter Karen Walsh, her daughter-in- law - Barbara Dennard; grandchildren - Brenda Griffit, Tim Dennard, Carey Young, Kristi Goolsby and husband Robert, Melissa Reeves, and Rachel Shelley, great grandchildren - Kelsi Dennard, Austin Dennard, Raighan Reeves, Hailey, Madison, Kyle, and Trevor Young.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dennard will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Waurika Church of Christ with Robert Goolsby officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 PM, Friday, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with the family in attendance from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
