Jesse Clyde Franklin was born October 9, 1943, in Granite, Oklahoma, to Emmette Spencer and Ruth Kersey Franklin. He passed from this life June 18, 2005, at his home in Hastings, at the age of sixty-one. He attended school and graduated from high school at Del, Oklahoma, and attended Junior College at Sayre before joining the United States Army. He worked for many years at the hospital.
Survivors include: his mother and father of the home in Hastings, OK; one brother - Paul Franklin of Lawton, OK; three sisters - Ruth Ann and her husband Don Manning of Lawton, OK, Kay and her husband Mike Duby of Hastings, OK, and Barbara and her husband Darrell Adair of Putnam, OK; three nephews - Mark Franklin, Brandon Stack, and Daniel Adair; six nieces - Shelly, Shawna, Trinity, Katelyn, Jeannie and Mieka (Clyde cared for Mieka through her childhood and thought of her as his own); and two great-nephews - Tye and Bradley.
Graveside services for Mr. Franklin were at 4:00 PM, Monday, June 20, 2005, at the Hastings Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
