Jerry Lee Poage

Jerry Lee Poage, 71, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Friday, January 15, 2016. He was born September 4, 1944, to George A. and Mary Ola (Robnett) Poage in Ryan, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ryan High School in 1962. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a "master carpenter" and Ryan's Go to All-around Handyman. He was a member of the Shriners' "Crazy Clowns" whose clown name was "Spotz". He was a loving husband, father, Papa and friend. He was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboy Fan. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports and loved Gospel music. He was a thirty-second degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George Poage, Jr., Troy Poage and Kenneth Poage, his sister Margie Nell Poage, his cousin Margaret Dalton, and special friends George Schulz and Jerry Brink.
Survivors include: his wife Marietta Poage of the home in Ryan, OK; daughter LaTresa English and her husband Robby of Gilmer, TX, daughter LeAnne Swager and her husband Bill of Miami, OK; sons Jerry Poage, Jr. and his wife Heidi of Waurika, OK, son Michael Poage and his wife Jordan of Comanche, OK, son Steven Poage and his wife Sarah of Ryan, OK, daughter Crystal Dalton and her husband Brian of Ryan, OK, son Ronnie Stanley of Ryan, OK, brother Foy Neal Poage, twenty-nine grandkids, twenty-two great grandkids, three special cousins - T.A. Poage, Tommy Poage and Timmy Poage, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and special friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Ryan Church of Christ with David Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday with the family receiving visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be Sammy Brown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Organization.
