Jerry Leon Henderson

Jerry Leon Henderson was born February 11, 1938 in Clemscott, Oklahoma to Vallie Jean Wise and Tommy A. Henderson. He passed from this life Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of 76.

Mr. Henderson was a coach throughout the state of Oklahoma. He coached softball, basketball, and track. Mr. Henderson was a member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association and inducted into the Coaches Hall of Fame in 1999. He was a member of the National Guard and an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan. He was a Baptist. He and Patricia Ann DeHart were married December 29, 2000 in Waurika, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters- Sheril Roberts and husband Bobby, Tricia Henderson, Amy Henderson, step children - Vallie Jean Murray and husband Timmy, and Rick Henderson, siblings - Donald Lee Henderson and wife Betty, Shirley McMurtry and Rick Silveria and wife Andee, grandchildren - Krista, Kaylea, Bree, and step grandchildren - Daniel, James, Natalie, and Richard, great grandchildren - Kelsie, Kaedon, Zoey, Jacey, and KK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother - Richard C. Henderson, sister - Wilma June Henderson, and step father - Warren Satterfield.

Funeral service for Mr. Henderson will be Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2PM at the Hastings Baptist Church with Rev. Charles McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the Graham Cemetery in Graham, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM.
