Jed Johnson Willard


Jed Johnson Willard went to be with Jesus on February 19, 2010. He passed from this life at the Grace Living Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Jed began his earthly journey on October 17, 1930, in Ryan, OK. He was the 5th of nine children born to Orbie Walter and Clela May Willard. As a boy he grew up out in the country in Union Valley. He graduated from Union Valley High School before it annexed to Ryan. He later moved to town and resided in Ryan for many years. In 1999, he moved to Oklahoma City to be near his brother Mike and his family.

He was preceded in death by his daddy and mother, infant sister, Morene, youngest brother, Aaron Zack , brother, Max Dwight, brother-in-law, Zack Ingram, sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Zeb Ingram and brother, Mike Foster.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing a host of family and friends. He is survived by his oldest sister, Avonel (Sister) Ingram of Marlow, OK, a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Becky Willard of Portland, OK, his youngest sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Leonard Wilson of Lodi, CA, and his sister-in-law, Genevieve Willard, of OKC, OK. He has a great legacy of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews that survive him.

Jed gave his live to Jesus as a young boy and was baptized in Red River. The late Brother Ronald Allen had a great Christian influence upon Jed’s life. He was the pastor at the Assembly of God Church in Ryan where Jed had been a long time member.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Assembly of God church in Ryan with Rev. Paul Ratliff officiating. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery.
