Jane Morgan Nelson

Jane Morgan Nelson, 80, passed from this life August 27, 2015, in Dallas, Texas. She was born January 26, 1935, in Waurika, Oklahoma, and lived there with her loving father and mother, Lawrence G. and Anna Morgan until her graduation from Waurika High School in 1953. Her zest for life and adventure led her to travel and live in many places; making, enjoying, and more importantly keeping many friends along the way. She cherished those friendships, but not nearly as much as she cherished her two "girls", Jennifer and Jaynelle. For the last twenty-five years Jane called Addison TX home with her beloved husband, Phillip Nelson. Phil and Jane married August 12, 1983 in Gainesville TX and celebrated 32 years together on their anniversary earlier this month. Though not the first marriage for either of them, it was the connect that made the two of them whole.
Jane Nelson was a well-known interior designer in Oklahoma for twenty years. In 1966, Jane started her first design business, Decors Unlimited, located in the old Ward Mall in Duncan, OK. In the mid-70s, she moved to Oklahoma City and started another successful interior design business, Designers III. In 1990, she moved to Addison, Texas but continued to work out of Oklahoma City, burning up the I35 corridor several times a month until her retirement in 2007.
Survivors include: her husband Phillip B. Nelson in Addison, TX; two daughters - Jennifer Ann Snodgrass of Alexandria Virginia and Margaret Jaynelle Schamber of Stevenson Ranch California; one stepson - Brad Nelson of Lavon Texas ; four grandchildren- Steven Snodgrass, Carlye Snodgrass, Christopher Schamber, and Ryan Nelson; and two great-grandchildren - Dylan Jane and Raelyn Snodgrass.
Graveside services for Mrs. Nelson will be at 11:30 AM, Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Waurika Cemetery with Karen Slater officiating. Burial will under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
