James Robert Webster, eighty-four, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at his home. He was born September 24, 1922, to David Washington and Lena Gordon Webster. He was a welder, working in Dallas. He retired in 1979. He and Pauline Parks were married May 15, 1946 in Ringgold, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II, serving at Normandy in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Concorde Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include: his wife, Pauline, of the home in Ryan, OK; four children - Jannie Denham of Ryan, OK, Vicki Latimer of Point, TX, Aaron Webster of Byers, TX, and Mickey Ray Young of Ladonna, TX; and a sister, Pearl Loman; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son - James Danny Webster, one daughter, Lillie Catherine Bettis, and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Webster will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with James Keenum officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
