James R. Porterfield
James R. Porterfield was born February 10, 1940 in Ringling, Oklahoma to Barney Harvey and Minnie Lee Golightly Porterfield. He passed from this life Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home in Waurika at the age of sixty-nine. He was a retired truck driver. He and JoeAnna L. Kauffeldt were married March 29, 1966, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He is survived by his wife JoeAnna of the home, children - Jim Porterfield, Rick Porterfield, Paula Hull, and Kassey Raffo, siblings - JoAnn Lovett, Grace Porterfield, Floyd Porterfield, Linda Overton, June Cantwell, Nona Porterfield, Myrtle Porterfield, Don Porterfield, Debbie Porterfield, Vickie Porterfield, and Lenora Yenzer, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents and brothers- Jack and Ronnie and sister - Diane.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1:00PM at Addington Baptist Church with Jason Ebenhack officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday 9AM-5PM,Wednesday from 9AM-6PM, and Thursday 9AM-8PM. Memorials may be made to the Addington Baptist Church or the Senior Citizens Center.
