James D. Hughes
James D. Hughes was born December 15, 1923 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Howard and Ivie Stevens Hughes. He passed from this life Monday, May 3, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore at the age of eighty-six. He and Valrie Hughes were married July 30, 1942 in Dallas, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Valrie Hughes of Ardmore, daughter - Connie Townsend of Muskogee, Oklahoma, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter - Sandra White, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Irving Baptist Church with Bro. Clarence Mize and Bro. Billy Rhone officiating. Viewing will be from noon - 6PM Tuesday in Ryan. (612Washington) Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan.
