James Roscoe Atwood was born January 11, 1938, in Lamar County,TX, to James Brice and Elizabeth Missouri Atwood. He passed from this life Sunday, February 20, 2005, at his home in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-seven. Roscoe was a surveyor for Dahistrom Construction before his retirement.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law - James and Mary Atwood of Waurika, OK, one daughter - Renee Davis of Henrietta, TX; one nephew - Danny Hicks of Decalb, TX; and five grandchildren - Cody Atwood, Krystal Atwood, Brett Huskey, Dusty Davis, and Donny Davis.

Graveside services for Mr. Atwood were at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 21, 2005, at the Waurika Cemetery with Curtis Plant officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
