James Earl Anderson

James Earl Andy Anderson, eighty-two, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Nocona General Hospital, in Nocona, Texas. He was born August 23, 1924, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Oscar and Ida Shelton Anderson. He was a foreman at Southern California Edison Company where he built power lines. He and Geraldine were married in Yuma, Arizona on April 25, 1943. Mr. Anderson served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a Baptist and was a Mason for many years.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include: his wife of sixty-four years, Geraldine, of the home in Ryan, OK; one daughter, Pat and her husband Jim Kuykendall of Eastland, TX; one son, Jim Anderson and his wife Lesli of Kernville, CA; three grandchildren - Greg Adelsbach, Kristi Johnson, and Kim Peters; and seven great-grandchildren - Kurt, Kayla, Doug, Dana, Danielle, Josylin, and Bailey.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan, with Rev. Clarence Mize and Rev. Jason Vance officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Pallbearers will be Bob Durham, Cal Durham, Rob Keith, George Barker, Royse Lynn Reagan, and Harold Cathey. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Ryan.
