Jack Savage

Jack W. Savage was born in Courtney, Oklahoma on the kitchen table on August 10, 1943 to Grady Clyde and Audrey Bernice Westmoreland Savage. Jack passed from this life Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home in Ryan.
He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1967 and began teaching Vocational Agriculture in Arnett Schools. He came to Ryan Public Schools in the the 70's and taught ag as well. He started working at First State Bank in Ryan and later worked for People's Bank in Ryan. He later moved back to First State where he retired in March of 2012. He and Elaine Campbell were married April 13, 1985 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Jack was a member of the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid OSU fan and Ryan Cowboy Fan as well as a member of the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Waurika. Jack also was an auctioneer, he helped out with different school auctions as well as public auctions.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Jimmy Clyde Savage.
He is survived by his wife Elaine of the home in Ryan, children - Justin and Lisa Savage of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Jamie Hamlin and Mark of Edmond, Oklahoma, Shannon Savage Wiebusch of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jim and Kristi Selby of Red Oak, Texas, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his work family including Terri Sheffield who he loved as a daughter.
Funeral Service for Jack will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Waurika at 11AM with Bro. Bob Waitman and Mark Kunkel officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation is from 3-8PM at the funeral home in Ryan on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Jack Savage Scholarship Fund at the First State Bank in Ryan.
