Harold Laverne Irishman Dennard
Harold Laverne "Irishman" Dennard was born March 17, 1928 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Jasper and Georgia Dee (Holcomb) Dennard. He passed from this life Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Jefferson County Hospital at the age of eighty-two. He was named Irishman by family friend Grover Roberson when he was two years old. Irishman was a farmer and rancher. He and Mary Jo Brezina were united in marriage October 20, 1945 in Duncan, Oklahoma. They made their home in Waurika and were members of the First Baptist Church.
Irishman is survived by his wife - Mary Jo of the home, son - Jimmie Harold Dennard and wife Jeanet of Comanche, brother - T.H. Dennard and wife Jewell of Waurika, sister - Betty Jean Ogle of Henderson, Nevada, grandchildren - Mistie Graves and husband Dale of Madill, Dustin Dennard and wife Jenni of Kilgore, Texas, and Colt Dennard and wife Kris of Waurika, Great grandchildren - Tanner Akers and Caden Graves, Morgan Blake Dennard and Kasen Dennard.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff McLemore officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-8PM Tuesday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 5-7PM.
