Iona Faye Lewis was born August 8, 1914, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Charlie and Hettie Pewitt Houchins. She passed from this life Monday, August 08, 2005, at Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of ninety-one. She and Curtis Lee Lewis were married in Waurika, Oklahoma, August 27,1931. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ryan church of Christ. She also worked alongside her husband at Lewis’s Filling Station and White’s Auto.

Survivors include: one son - Lawrence Lee and his wife Barbara Lewis of Ryan, OK: four grandchildren - Jeffrey Lee Lewis, Christopher A. Lewis, Brad J. Lewis, and Tracey Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; one niece - Lena Corkran; and one nephew - James Whitman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister.

Funeral Services were at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at the Ryan church of Christ with Brent Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
