Inez Mae Downes, of Temple, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, November 21, 2003, at the age of eighty-eight. Mrs. Downes was born to T.W. and Mattie Lee Pitcock Wallace on December 10, 1914, in Roger Mills County, Texas.

Inez and James Downes were married at Duncan, Oklahoma, in 1929. To this union three children were born.

Mrs. Downes was a waitress/cook at Carlsbad, New Mexico, and at the D&D Diner in Comanche, Oklahoma. She was a Jehova's Witness.

Survivors include: one son, James Downes of Carlsbad, NM; two daughters - Mary McCarty of San Antonio, TX, and Patricia Hoffert of Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, one son, and one daughter.
