Ilma Jo Walling was born March 16, 1915, in Audobon, Texas, to Ed and Ida Leonard Whorton. Mrs. Walling passed from this life on December 6, 2001.

She and Robert Wayne Walling were married May 28, 1941. He died July 14, 2000. Also preceded her in death were her parents, her sisters - Lillian Kilcrease, Opal Whorton, Ed Weauna Vannoy, Leatrice Cambell, her brothers - Modrell Whorton and Grellon, and son-in-law Guy Logsdon.

Survivors include: her children and grandchildren - Waynel and Bob Green and Susan of Tulsa, OK, and David and Beth Green Nagle of Edmond, OK, Gayle Logsdon, Trey Logsdon, and Jennifer and Gene Kellogg of Ada, OK, and Wade and Troy Gayle Walling, Niki and Wade Walling II, all of Ft. Cobb, OK, sister-in-law Billie Whorton, Denton, TX, and Connie Whorton, Oklahoma City, OK, many nieces, nephews, friends and former students.

Services for Mrs. Walling were at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 8, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with Randy Allen and David Nagle officiating. Burial was in the Ringgold Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
