Howard Tyler was born November 3, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Howard and Bernice Tyler and passed from this life Friday, March 9, 2001, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of 53.

Howard and Sandy Payne were united in marriage August 27, 1966. He later married Linda Bachlett, he was married to Kelly Tyler at the time of his death.

Howard is survived by three sons: Dennis Tyler of Ottumwa, Virginia, Mike Tyler of Jacksonville, Florida and Jon Tyler of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother: James and his wife Laverne of Virginia; two sisters: Ruthie and her husband Don Holdbrook of Hastings, Oklahoma, and Louise and her husband Bill Shubert of Waterloo, Iowa; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at the Waurika Assembly of God Church under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Burial was in the Hastings Cemetery.
