Herschel Wayne Thomas died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy. He was born February 3, 1935, in Addington, Oklahoma, to T.E. and Beulah Thomas. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1954. He married Betty Jonella Nichols December 25, 1958, at the Prairie Hill Church of Christ in Meridian, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Comanche Church of Christ and also attended Prairie Hill Church of Christ. He was very active in the area Boy Scouts.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty, of the home in Comanche, OK; two sons - Gary and his wife Michelle Thomas of Comanche, OK, and Bobby and his wife Vicki Thomas of Duncan, OK; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harvil and Bill Thomas.

Graveside services were held for Mr. Thomas at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2006, in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Mario Pineda officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
