Henry Ford Plant

Henry Ford Plant passed from this life on Thursday, June 20, 2002, in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-one. He was born September 23, 1920, to Norby Dalto and Mary Jane Plant in Waurika, Oklahoma. He and Ada Mae Bright were united in marriage on October 7, 1944, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She preceed him in death on June 30, 1996. Mr. Plant was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Waurika and was a deacon for six years. He was union president for AFL CIO.

Survivors include: one son, Lynn and his wife Joyce Plant of Foster, OK; five sisters - Ethel and Glenn Anthony of Waurika, OK, Stella and W.L. Heemer of Houston, TX, Margie and C.J. Burnham of Ardmore, OK, Wanda and Bill King of Oklahoma City, OK, and Yvonne and A.J. Beaver of Wichita Falls, TX; two grandchildren - Curtis and Kimberly Plant of Waurika, OK, and Bryan and Wendy Plant of Duncan, OK; two great-granddaughters - Laren and Sapphira Plant; and two great-grandsons, Joachim and Tyler Plant.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norby and Mary Jane Plant, his wife, Ada Mae Plant, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Plant were at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2002, in the First Assembly of God Church in Waurika with Lynn Plant, Curtis Plant and Bryan Plant officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
