Helen Frances was born October 3, 1925 in Waurika to Claude and Hazel Thompson Richardson. Helen passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at her home in Waurika. Helen and Clifford Edwards were married August 15, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death August 3, 1994. She married Joe Welch were married September 26, 1998 in Waurika. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2006.
Helen was a homemaker a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary at Jefferson County Hospital
and a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands - Clifford and Joe, son Johnny Bruce and brother John Dean Richardson.
She is survived by her children - Randy Edwards of Waurika, Tim Edwards of Waurika, Penny Edwards and Mike Anderson of Duncan, three sisters- Opal Ward of Saginaw, Texas, Mary Penny and Ronald of Oklahoma City, and Mildred Porter and Dude of Clute, Texas, grandchildren - Amanda Goodson and Brad, Shelley and Mark Morgan, Justin Edwards, J.J. Edwards, Kirby Eastman, Dylan Edwards, and Christie Edwards Wright and children one great grandchild Caden Morgan.
Funeral Services will be Friday, October 2, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Audie Dorrough, Rev. Jeff McLemore, and Noel Curington officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be from 9AM - 8PM. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxillary or the First Baptist Church in Waurika.
