Hattie Dale Anderson

Hattie Dale (Baker) Anderson, 83, passed from this life August 21, 2014, in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born November 8, 1930, to Clyde and Gladys (Linton) Baker in Terral, Oklahoma.
She and Millard "Toad" Anderson were married January 11, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Terral High School and attended one year at Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha before she and "Toad" were married. The military stationed him in Staten Island, New York and when they returned to Jefferson County she helped "Toad" with his businesses. She truly was "the woman behind the man". After "Toad" retired Hattie worked for the Willow Tree in Wichita Falls. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jefferson County Extension Homemakers. She loved to play golf and to play bridge, two and three table bridge!
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Toad", one son Mark Lee Anderson and siblings David Baker, Mary Jo Meeks and Cris Garrett.Survivors include: one daughter Cherese and her husband Mike Villareal, one daughter-in-law Marci Anderson, and two grandchildren Ginny Anderson and Josh Bagwell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be at 11:00 Monday, August 25, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika with Bruce Davis and Karen Slater officiating. Burial will follow in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2014 with family receiving visitors from 1-4PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Grace United Methodist Church in Altus.
