Harvey Glen Cannon, 82,
of Comanche, OK, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, in Duncan Regional
Hospital. Graveside services were at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 23,
2001, in Fairlawn Cemetery with Gene Vernon officiating. Arrangements
were under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
Mr. Cannon was born September 13, 1918, in Hartford, Ark., to
Harvey and Rebecca Cribbs Cannon. He married Jeaninine Alberta
Meurrens on October 8, 1951, in California. He is a veteran of
World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a forklift operator
for Western Craft.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeaninine, of the home; seven sons
- Harvey E. Cannon of Sparks, Lawrence C. Cannon, of Cameron Park,
CA, Phillip A. Cannon and Jeffery M. Cannon, both of Freemont,
CA, Joseph E. Cannon and Brian K. Cannon, both of San Leandro,
CA, and Timothy S. Cannon of Freemont; four daughters - Deborah
Anderson of Comanche, Pamela Sue Howell of Lancaster, CA, Ann
Marie Taylor of Medford OR, and Stacey Lynn Newcomb of Hastings,
OK; two brothers - Cecil Cannon of Fletcher and Lee Cannon of
Duncan; two sisters - Lorene Williams of Cyril, OK, and Ester
Heavin of McCloud, OK; nineteen grandchildren - Holly Cannon Miller,
Heidi Cannon Guthrie, Michael Cannon, Becky Cannon Drury, Rodney
Anderson, Charles L. Anderson, Cecilia L. Anderson Barber, Stephanie
J. Salinas, Harmony Perkins, Chad A. Perkins, Thomas Taylor, Becky
Taylor, Anthony Cannon, Melonie Cannon, David Cannon, Tyson Cannon,
Jessica Cannon, Amanda Newcomb and Leroy Newcomb; and fifteen
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Leroy Newcomb, Harvey Cannon, Cecil Cannon, Lee
Cannon, and Jimmy Perkins.
