Harold Dean Gardner was born April 30, 1928 in Marlow, Oklahoma to James Melton and Mary (Jones) Gardner. He passed from this life Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Marlow Manor at the age of eighty-one. He served his country in the United States Navy. He and Ilena May Carter were married July 29, 1949 in Waurika, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death Harold was a contractor retiring from California Contractor's Union after fifty years of service. He was a member of the Hastings Baptist Church.
Harold is survived by: son - Wayne Gardner and wife Yolanda of Marysville, California, daughter - KathleenMcCoy of Duncan, Oklahoma, one brother - Cuit Gardner and wife Irma Lee of Orange, California, grandson - Derrick Gardner of Marysville, California and granddaughter - Danya LaLonde of Duncan, Oklahoma.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four brothers.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Hastings Baptist Church with Rev. Charles McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under th direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from 9AM-8PM and Friday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 5-7PM.
