Harley Gene Garrett
Harley Gene Garrett, 82, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed from this life October 1, 2017. He was born November 6, 1934, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to George "Jack" and Capitola (Mobley) Garrett. He was married to Mary Genevieve (Davis) Newsome. He graduated from Rush Springs High School and served in the National Guard of the United States. He worked as a stocker for Goodner's Grocery Store.
Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: three sons - Harley Mitchell Garrett of Duncan, OK, Mchael Lee Garrett of Duncan, OK, and Jimmy Don Garrett and his wife Vicki of Duncan, OK; one daughter - Pamela Gail (Dillingham) and her husband Jay Meek of Newalla, OK; one brother; and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 6, 2017, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice in Duncan, OK or Rush Springs Southern Baptist Church.
