Goldie I. Bacon passed away Saturday, September 8, 2001, in Kaufman, Texas. Goldie was born May 29, 1920, in Healdton, Oklahoma, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Graham. Goldie and J.W. Bacon were united in marriage on July 27, 1938, in Addington, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bacon was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. She was associated with the Rebekkas.
Goldie is survived by: three sons - Thomas Claude and Cricket Bacon of Glen Rose, TX, James W. Jr, and Julie Bacon of Comanche, OK, Robert Floyd Bacon of Dallas, TX; two daughters - June and Joe Wizansky of Corpus Christi, TX, and Billie Ann and Bobby Dyer of Kemp, TX; two sisters - Manara Snider of Comanche, OK, and Myrtle Bivins of Healdton, OK; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter - Jana Bacon, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services for Goldie were Tuesday, September 11, 2001, in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
