Glen Terry McHale

Glen Terry McHale was born August 15, 1925, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Cewell West and Earl Roy McHale. He passed from this life Friday, November 3, 2006, at the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of eighty-one. Glen and Kay Underwood were married in 1950. She preceded him in death September 7, 1974. He married Bettye Gaines July 2, 1976. She preceded him in death February 4, 1986. He married Martha Hobbs on May 21, 1988, at the Gaines Ranch east of Waurika. Glen served his country in the United States Navy in WWII. He was an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman from 1950 to 1971. He then worked as an OCC Trans. Officer from 1971 until his retirement in 1999. He coached the youth baseball program in Waurika where he also served as president. He retired in 1991 from being the Voice of the Eagles. He was a member of the Waurika church of Christ.

Survivors include: his wife, Martha, of the home in Waurika, OK; his sons - Terry W. and his wife Susan McHale of Norman OK, Patrick L. and his wife Kristie Gaines of Waurika, OK, and Mike and his wife Margaret Gaines of Springfield, MO; his daughter - Mary Jane Barfield and her husband; his grandsons - Michael McHale of Norman, OK, Zac Gaines of Edmond, OK, Justin Lockwood of Norman, OK, Tim Gaines of Weatherford, TX, and Matt Gaines of Weatherford, TX; his granddaughters - Stevi and her husband John Venable of Round Rock, TX, Shelli and her husband Booner Beck of Spring Branch, TX, Kim and her husband Tim Berry of Ft. Wayne, IN, Toby and her husband Jeff Ross of Los Angeles, CA, Katy and her husband Chris Knapp of Springfield, MO, and Shannon Lambert and her husband of Carlsbad, NM; three great-granddaughters; and six grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his children Kathrine and Robert.

Funeral services for Mr. McHale were at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at the Waurika Church of Christ with Noel Curington officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waurika Church of Christ Youth Program.
