Glenda Geraldine Whitecotton was born October 13, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to James and Elsie White Emerson. She passed from this life Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Waurika at the age of sixty-six. Glenda and James Whitecotton were married January 20, 1962 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Glenda was a member of the church of Christ in Waurika. Glenda worked for seventeen years for the Waurika National Bank. She was working for the State of Oklahoma as a field clerk for the last fifteen years.
She is survived by her husband James of the home in Hastings, sons - Mike Whitecotton and Jeff Whitecotton, brothers - Don Emerson and Kenneth Emerson, three grandchildren -Morgan Whitecotton, Jeremy Whitecotton, and Dustin Whitecotton, and one great grandchild -Peanut.
Funeral service will be Friday, December 26, 2008 at 10:00AM at the Waurika Church of Christ with Noel Curington officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4PM and Thursday from 6-8PM.
