Glenda June (Wallace) Muncrief Hood
Glenda June (Wallace) Muncrief Hood, 79, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed from this life September 1, 2020. She was born August 24, 1941, in Orr, Oklahoma, to Daily Frank and Beaulah (Black) Wallace. She married Zeno Harrison Muncrief in Wichita Falls, Texas February 27, 1957. He preceded her in death October 12,1994. She and Eudell Hood were married August 10, 2002 in Sugden, Oklahoma.
Glenda worked as a bank teller for thirty-one years at First Farmers Bank in Waurika. She served as mayor of Hastings, Oklahoma for fifteen years, City Treasurer of Addington, Oklahoma for fifteen years, Treasurer for Hastings Baptist Church and handled the records for Addington Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Zeno Muncrief and Eudell Hood, her son John Brett Muncrief and siblings John Wallace, Edgar Wallace, Dewey Wallace, Gene Wallace, and Irene Hartman.
Survivors include: her children LaCrecia Muncrief and Suzanne and her husband Rick Scott; her siblings Jerry Wallace, Geary Wallace, Alene Lyons, Peggy Parker, and Judy Delaney; grandchildren Chapel and her husband Reg Deaton, Cara Chitwood and Sage Muncrief; and great-grandchildren Skylar Brett Deaton, Ty Hayes Deaton, Blaze Alan Zeno Deaton, BellaLyn Katherine Deacon, and Stellen Grey Muncrief.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Hastings Baptist Church with Charles McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Family will receive visitors will Thursday, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM and viewing will be Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Addington Cemetery.
