Gladys Lorene Tidwell was born December 26, 1918, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, to Harley Ray and Delilah Elizabeth Campbell. She passed from this life Wednesday, August 10, 2005, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of eighty-six. She and Ross Ulpain Tidwell were married April 29, 1952, in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death April 14, 1994.

Survivors include: her children - Billie Lorene Ramirez of Poteau, OK, Bobby Ross Tidwell of Redwater, TX, Barbara Sue Tidwell of Wichita Falls, TX, Buster Wayne Tidwell of Duncan, OK, and Bessie Mae Tidwell of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters - Ila Austin of Laverne, OK, and Blanche Demoss of WY; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.

Graveside services for Mrs. Tidwell were at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 15, 2005, at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Dow Pannell officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
