Georgia Allene Trout Edmondson

Georgia Allene Trout Edmondson, eighty-nine, of Loco, Oklahoma, passed away at her home April 8, 2003. She was born April 5, 1914, near Loco, to George and Bertha Trout. She was married to James R. Edmondson on November 25, 1933. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Edmondson was substitute postmaster in Loco for thirty years. She worked for Loco Rural Water District twenty-three years and was a long-time member of the Loco Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was also a long-time member of the Loco Extension Homemakers Club.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jerry Sutton; one sister, Clarice Hall; one grandson and wife, Donny and Marquita Sutton, all of Loco, OK; three granddaughters, Susie McMeans of Ardmore, OK, Retha and John Clower of Duncan, OK, and Janell and Jim Reisch of Chickasha, OK; four great-granddaughters, Amy and Corey Laminack of Keller, TX, Dana Sutton of Fresno, CA, Melody McMeans of Ardmore, OK, and J'Ann Clower of Norman, OK; two great-great-granddaughters, Kiley and Keeley Laminack; and special nephews Billy Bob Deaton, George Hall, and Larry Hall.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edmondson were at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Loco Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial was in the Loco Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Pallbearers were family members.
