Geneva Torres was born February 17, 1938, in Velma, Oklahoma, to Elgin and Opeal Singleterry Morris. Geneva passed from this life September 17, 2005, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-seven. She was employed by Hop and Sack Grocery as a cook. She and John Torres were married in Mexico City on November 20, 1965.

Survivors include: her husband, John of Addington, OK, two sons - John Torres, Jr., of Connelly Springs, NV, and Alfred Torres of Addington, OK; one daughter - Verginia Torres of Addington, OK; one grandchild - Bacillio Torres; two brothers; and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Graveside services were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at the Addington Cemetery with Noel Curington officiating. Burial was at Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
