Gary Phil McNeill was born May 20, 1951, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Herbert and Venita McNeill, and passed from this life Wednesday, September 3, 2003, due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident on Highway 7, east of Velma, Oklahoma, at the age of fifty-two.

Phil worked for Mobil Oil Co. for fifteen years. He and Barbara Ossenbeck were united in marriage July 16, 1971, in Velma, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara, of the home in Velma, OK; two sons - Mike McNeill and Cory McNeill, both of Velma, OK; his father - Herbert McNeill of Menden, LA; two brothers - Larry McNeill of Maysville, OK, and Randy McNeill of Shreveport, LA; two sister - Sharon Kay Staggs and Tammy McNeill, both of Menden, LA; and three grandchildren - Preston, Hope and Cortney McNeill.

He was preceded in death by his mother Venita Jo McNeill, his grandmother and grandfather Moppie and Bud Erise

Graveside services for Mr. McNeill were at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2003, at the New Velma Cemetery with Monk Firestone officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
