Freddy Wayne Boswell was born June 5, 1940, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Fred Lee and Juanita Koonce Boswell. Freddy passed from this life Monday, November 20, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital at the age of sixty-six. Freddy and Shirley Marie Hopkins were married June 26, 1965, in Iowa Park, Texas. He worked as a mechanic for Sears and International Harvester and he also owned and operated Fred Boswell’s Garage in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed playing country music with his band Just Friends. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and gold panning.

Survivors include: his wife, Shirley, of the home at Waurika Lake, OK; his children - Jeff Boswell and his wife Tracy of Scotland, TX, Kimmie and her husband Bobby Truver of Jamestown, NY, Daphne Howard of Duncan, OK and Lorrie and her husband Quint Hague of Sachse, TX, and Nanon and her husband Eddy Joe Reese of Waurika Lake, OK; one brother, Danny Boswell of Ft Worth, TX; one sister, Judy Boswell of Ft Worth, TX; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Pugsy.

A celebration of life was held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 24, 2006, at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Pastor Doan officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the memorial of your choice.
