Freda Mae Doyal was born September 24, 1936, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Jim and Lovina Tolley Helloms. She was the granddaughter of Florence Dalton. She passed from this life March 2, 2007, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of seventy. Freda worked as a nurse’s aide for the Ryan and Waurika Nursing Homes for many years. She was often called in to work as Hospice at the nursing homes. She worked for the Quik Mart in Waurika for over twenty years. Freda married George Doyal on June 10, 1954, in Waurika.

Survivors include: her son - Billy Doyal of Edmond, OK; two daughters - Leona Jane Hill of Granbury, TX, and stacie Jane Doyal of Waurika, OK; two brothers - W.D. Davis of Ryan, OK, and Leroy Helloms of Sugden, OK; six sisters - Elberta Maness of Waurika, OK, Ardelia Robbins of Henrietta, Tx, Lucille Lawson of Ryan, OK, Dora Green of Nocona, TX, Joanne Johnson of Ryan, Ok, and Ruth Thomas of Ryan, OK; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Doyal was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons - Wendell Ray and Marvin Keith, two brothers, and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Doyal were at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with Rev. Jason Vance and Debbie Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Visitation was Monday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to noon.
