Frank O. Torrez

Frank O. Torrez, 57, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed from this life Friday, February 20, 2015, at his home in Healdton. He was born January 20, 1958, in Itasca, Texas, to Margarito and Feliz Rios Torrez.

"Frankie" married Elisa Gomez on September 25, 1975, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked as a carpenter and a welder. He was a much beloved man who enjoyed being around people and making them laugh. He was the jokester of the family. He loved music and played the guitar and sang beautifully.

Mr. Torrez was preceded in death by his father Margarito Torrez and his brother Jesse Torrez.

Survivors include: his wife Elisa Torrez of the home in Healdton, OK; his mother Feliz Torrez of Ryan, OK; sons - Michael Frank Torrez and his wife Lacey, of Duncan, OK, and Ricky Lee Torrez and his wife Gloria of Duncan, OK; daughters - Corena Lenea Torrez and Jesus Diaz of Duncan, OK, and Esther Helen Torrez of Healdton, OK; brothers - Joe Torrez and his wife Doris of Redoak, TX, Margarito Torrez, Jr., of Ryan, OK, Michael Torrez of Waurika, OK, and Robert Torrez of Ryan, OK; sisters - Juanita and her husband Francisco Aldalpe of Ryan, OK, Maria Seay of Ryan, OK, and Delores and her husband Juan Vasquez of Ringling, OK; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Torrez will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Ryan with Ricky Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Homes. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika on Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and at the Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A Rosary Service will be held in Waurika at 5:00 PM, Monday, with Ricky Phillips assisting. Pallbearers will be Tony Flores, Jesse Torrez, T.J. Torrez, Domingo Gomez, Anthony Torrez, Jason Tallon, Julian Vasquez, Tyler Brown, and Linder Seay. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Cain, Evan Torrez, Fabian Taylor, Korben Torrez, Amon Torrez, Ricky Torrez, and Abel Diaz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through Dudley Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
