Ermal Franklin Heath passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of sixty-one. Mr. Heath was born October 27, 1941, to Ermal and Edna Mae Cain Heath in Wichita Falls, Texas, and was raised in the Irving community. He was a graduate of Ryan High School and attended Cameron University.
Mr. Heath accepted Christ at the age of twelve. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Meridian, Oklahoma, where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon and loved the Lord. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1968. He served on the Meridian Rural Water Board for seventeen years and was an Empire School Board member for ten years. He was a member of the IBEW Union from 1962.
In 1989, Frank became and electrical contractor and opened his own business, Heath Electric. Even though his health was failing the last three years, he still had a good sense of humor and had many friends whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenda, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law - Steven and Cindi Heath of Dalls, TX, and Jason and Michann Heath of Sherman, TX; and one granddaughter - Hannah, of Sherman, TX, who was his pride and joy that would light up his life.
Funeral services were at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Meridian First Baptist Church with Rusty Cancy officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Meridian Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
