Frances K. Wood passed from this life Monday, October 20, 2003, in Crestview Manor Nursing Home, at the age of eighty-two. She was born March 28, 1921, to Grover and Maggie Cleveland in Ryan, Oklahoma. Frances and Hubert D. Wood were married August 4, 1956, in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was a member of the University Park Nazarene Church in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include: three sons - Don Sheffield of Houston, TX, Glen Sheffield of Gunter, TX, and Don Wood of Wichita Falls, TX; two daughters - JoAnn Jones of Tawakoni, TX, and Tracey Armstrong of Waco, TX; fourteen grandchildren - Randy and Joe VanWinkle, Rusty, Charles, Jonathan, Stacy, Tanya, Cody, and Chad Sheffield; Josey and Sabra Wood, and Eric, Scott and Trent Armstrong; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one son Aaron Sheffield.

Funeral services were at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, at the Waurika Church of the Nazarene with David Gordon officiating. Graveside services followed at the Waurika Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.

Pallbearers were Randy VanWinkle, Joe VanWinkle, Rusty Sheffield, Charles Sheffield, Cody Sheffield, Chad Sheffield, Josey Wood, and Scott Armstrong.
