Frances W. Fran Cephus

Frances W."Fran" Cephus was born October 16, 1927 in Comanche, Oklahoma to A.J. and Lilly Strawn Weems. She passed from this life Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Waurika at the age of 85.

Fran was the assistant county clerk at Jefferson County Court House for many years. She and Charles Cephus were married April 17, 1952 in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika.

She is survived by two children - Mike Cephus of Waurika and Kaye Brown of Wichita Falls, Texas, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Charles, and several siblings.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2:00PM at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Jason Ebenhack officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon-8PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
