Jenita Fern Houston

Jenita "Fern" Houston, 85, passed from this life on November 16, 2012 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born September 16, 1927 to William and Betty (Gibson) Standlea in Woodville, Oklahoma. She married Alvis Leon Moiser in July 1945. Together they raised eight children in Walters, Oklahoma. Bobby Moiser and wife Margot of Madill, OK, Betty Bishop and husband Jerry Houston of Waurika, OK, Billy Moiser and wife Merry Moiser of Waurika, OK, Donnie Moiser of Walters, OK, Tony Moiser and wife Dorothy of Madill, OK, Penny Craig of Waurika, OK, Ricky Moiser and wife Pamela of Waurika, OK and Vicki Kiplinger of Waurika, OK.She was later united with Harvey Lee Houston and his four children in 1972. Later that year they moved to Waurika, OK. She worked at Jefferson County Hospital in the cafeteria for the last 34 years. With a heart of gold, she was a friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Houston was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings; Carl, Beatrice, Billie Ruth and Loreen.

She is survived by all of her children, 28 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and two special daughter in laws, Darinda Caudle of Lone Grove,OK and Cheryl Moiser of Duncan, OK. and the special family of Jefferson County Hospital. She was a life long Baptist at Calvary Baptist Church in Walters, OK. She will be loved and missed by all.

Private Services are pending. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Jefferson County Hospital.
