Eva Lilley was born May 29, 1913 in Temple, Oklahoma to James Elexander "Jim" and Dottie Sanders Armstrong. She passed from this life Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Mercy Hospital at the age of ninety-five. She was a homemaker and a tailor for many years. She tailored men's clothing for many years, even after she retired she continued to tailor. She and John B. Lilley were married in Hastings, Oklahoma on December 22, 1928. He preceded her in death in November 1995. She was a member of the Hastings Baptist Church and a founder of the Ferguson Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by three daughters - Eva Joyce Massey and husband Kenneth of Georgetown, Texas, Melba Janett Palmer of Cashion, Oklahoma, and Dottie May Hall and her husband Robert of Bellevue, Nebraska, daughter -in-law - Mary Lou Lilley of Hastings, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five sisters, one brother, two - half sisters, one - half brother, son - Johnny Dewayne Lilley, two sons in law - J.C. Palmer and Clarence Niblett, and grandson Todd Lilley.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00PM Hastings Baptist Church with Charles McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 3-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM. Memorials may be made to the Hastings Baptist Church or Hastings Cemetery Fund.
