Esteleen McLain Nolen was born December 29, 1917, in Esteleen, Texas to Will and Lucy (Green) McLain. Mrs. Nolen passed from this life Friday, August 13, 2004, at the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of eighty-six. She and Thomas Jefferson TJ Nolen were united in marriage on December 22, 1938, in Ringling, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death July 23, 1999. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include: three daughters - Barbara Hampton and her husband Calvin of Waurika, OK, Sharon Holdbrook and her husband Roy of Burkburnett, TX, and Patsy Houston and her husband WL of Waurika, OK; two brothers - Everett McLain of Norman, OK, and Elvis McLain of California; two grandchildren - Mark Cleveland and Van Holdbrook; and two great-grandchildren - Tracie Cleveland and Nolen Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nolen were at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2004, at the Waurika Church of Christ with Noel Curington officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
