Emelia "Millie" (McDonough) Sanchez

Emelia M. (Millie) Sanchez, 83, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life April 5, 2019. She was born August 8, 1935, in Victoria, Texas to Mateo and Teresa (Morin) McDonough. She was a homemaker, provided private housekeeping and cooked at Junior's Truck Stop. She married José D. Sanchez October 29, 1949, in Victoria, Texas. She and José loved to dance. She also loved to shoot pool and working in her flower beds - she loved her plants. She enjoyed upholstery work and sewing as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters - Emily Sanchez and Josie Black, one brother Willie McDonald, one sister Minnie Leal, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband José D. Sanchez, of the home in Waurika, OK; her children Frances Vines of Duncan, OK, Joe and his wife Christy Sanchez of Waurika, OK, and Sandy and her husband Buddy Goodin of Waurika, OK, her son-in-law Roger Black, ten grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the Addington Baptist Church with Mike Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.
