Ella L. Stanley Porter was born January 26, 1926, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Aristo and Ella Bybee Stanley. She passed from this life Friday, January 21, 2005, at her home in Florida, at the age of seventy-eight. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church. She and Calven L. Porter were married January 9, 1943. He preceded her in death May 15, 2004.

Survivors include: two daughters - Linda K. Porter of Houston, TX, and Jo Porter Hyatt of Lady Lake, FL; one brother - Bruce Stanley of Waurika, OK; and six grandchildren - Todd, Joshua, Brian, Ashley, Wesley, and Melanie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services or Mrs. Porter were at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika with Rev. Reed Montgomery officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
