Elizabeth Francis Green Armstrong passed from this life Monday, November 25, 2002, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of sixty-eight. She was born June 14, 1934, to Samuel Sam and Elizabeth Lizzie Green in Waurika, Oklahoma. Mrs. Armstrong worked for Xerox in California, in telemarketing and was also a homemaker. She graduated from high school in Sugden, Oklahoma in 1952. She and James Weldon Armstrong were united in marriage November 4, 1952, in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include: her husband, James Weldon Armstrong, of the home in Wichita Falls, TX; one son, Roger and his wife Renee, of Hiram, GA; one daughter, Barbara and her husband Bill Petty of Wichita Falls, TX; three sisters, Sue Elkins of Duncan, OK, Reva Booth of Duncan, OK, and Loma Dilks of Burkburnett, TX; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lizzie Green.
Memorial services for Mrs. Armstrong were at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 29, 2002, in the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Bro. Clarence Mize officiating, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the charity of your choice.
