Elberta Alene Peachie Maness
Elberta Alene "Peachie" Maness was born July 16, 1928 in Jefferson County, Oklahoma to Lovina (Tolley) and Jim Helloms. She passed from this life early Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Westbrook Care Center at the age of 86.
She and OK Maness were married in July 9, 1949 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Elberta worked for the nursing home in the housekeeping and laundry departments and also for B&G Garments in Nocona, TX. She attended the Assembly of God church in Ryan for many years. She loved sewing and being with children.
She is survived by her children - Bobby Maness and wife Cathy and Barbara Porterfield and husband Rickey, Siblings - Ardelia Robbins, Lucille Lawson, Joanne Johnson, and Ruth Thomas, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings - W.D. Davis, Clifton Ray Helloms, Leroy Helloms, Freda Doyal, Dora Green, James "Pete" Helloms.
Funeral service will be Monday , December 8, 2014 at 2PM at the Assembly of God Church in Ryan. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be Sunday at from noon until 5PM at the funeral home in Ryan.
